About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support data and technology requests, complex reporting and analysis, and modeling to manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses
  • Review and analyze portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics
  • Support development of databases and queries to extract data
  • Support production of data for internal and external reporting
  • Work with Technology to implement changes supporting ongoing data needs
  • Support reporting that enables Risk and business partners to identify and manage risk
  • Provide analytical support for product strategic initiatives across Risk functions and lines of business
  • Participate in developing database production processes and performance reports for senior management using data mining and advanced analytical techniques
  • Respond to complex ad hoc information requests from internal and external parties
  • Support cross-functional remediation of data quality issues
  • Monitor control outputs and investigate control-check alerts
  • Collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Users, Data Owners, and Technology Teams on strategic data initiatives
  • Gather information about business processes, data attributes and sources, controls, and system interfaces
  • Document processes, procedures, data models, data quality controls, data lineage, and data dictionaries using industry-standard methods
  • Analyze information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and abstract detailed information into general understanding
  • Identify deficiencies against internal policies, standards, and industry best practices; recommend remediation requirements
  • Partner with technology teams, architects, and stakeholders to drive operational excellence and resiliency
  • Review technical solution designs from a business perspective and recommend alternatives
  • Communicate plans, progress, and risks to stakeholders and sponsors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, system analysis, Information Systems, or related field
  • 1–3+ years of experience with Data Sourcing, Data Wrangling, Data Engineering, or similar role
  • Strong process/systems analysis, design, and documentation
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to monitor tight deadlines and adapt to unexpected requirement changes
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management and Data Management Principles
