About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support data and technology requests, complex reporting and analysis, and modeling to manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses
- Review and analyze portfolio trends
- Support development of databases and queries to extract data
- Support production of data for internal and external reporting
- Work with Technology to implement changes supporting ongoing data needs
- Develop and execute reporting for Risk and business partners
- Analyze portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics
- Provide analytical support for product strategic initiatives across Risk functions and lines of business
- Participate in development of database production processes and performance reports for senior management
- Respond to complex ad-hoc information requests from internal and external parties
- Support cross-functional remediation of data quality issues
- Monitor control outputs and investigate control-check alerts
- Collaborate with data stewards, data users, data owners, and technology teams on strategic data initiatives
- Gather information about business processes, data attributes, data sources, controls, and system interfaces
- Document processes, procedures, data models, data quality controls, data lineage, and data dictionaries
- Analyze information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and abstract detailed information into general understanding
- Assess deficiencies against internal policies, standards, and industry best practices; recommend remediation requirements
- Partner with technology teams and architects to drive operational excellence and resiliency
- Review technical solution designs and recommend alternatives
- Communicate plans, progress, and risks to stakeholders and sponsors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, system analysis, Information Systems or related field
- 1–3+ years of experience with Data Sourcing, Data Wrangling, Data Engineering or similar role
- Strong process/systems analysis, design and documentation
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to monitor tight deadlines and adapt to unexpected requirement changes
- Strong understanding of Risk Management and Data Management Principles
