About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform analytical requests, reporting and analysis, and assist with modeling activities to manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses
  • Develop and execute reporting for risk and business partners to identify and manage risk
  • Identify trends and manage data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics
  • Participate in product strategic initiatives affecting multiple risk functions and lines of business
  • Develop database production processes and performance reports for senior management using data mining and advanced analytical techniques
  • Respond to complex ad-hoc information requests from internal and external parties
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to remediate data quality issues
  • Manage control outputs and investigate alerts from control checks
  • Partner with business stakeholders, application managers, and technology teams to understand processes, data requirements, architectures, and testing needs
  • Design, implement, and optimize data connections enabling automated testing, analytics, and monitoring
  • Lead cross-functional data quality, automation, and connectivity initiatives
  • Drive process simplification, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the data onboarding and management lifecycle
  • Ensure data connectivity processes comply with governance standards, service level agreements, quality controls, and performance metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Process and Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand end-to-end business processes, data flows, and technology dependencies
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and drive high-quality outcomes
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical, business, and executive audiences
  • Strong stakeholder relationship-building and influence skills
  • Sound judgment and ability to translate complex requirements into actionable recommendations
  • Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data, database concepts, data architectures, and data integration patterns
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and developing scalable data solutions
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms and technologies such as Hadoop and Trino
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
