About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
- Manage dependencies, risks, impediments, and compliance with Enterprise Change Management and policy requirements
- Provide stakeholders visibility into Agile team delivery plans and progress
- Promote Agile principles and mindset through coaching
- Optimize story flow and value delivery for medium- to high-complexity projects and programs
- Apply metrics to assess team delivery, maturity, and performance
- Identify and share team improvement opportunities
- Partner with product stakeholders to maintain healthy product and Sprint backlogs
- Coach and mentor teams toward high performance and continuous improvement
- Lead scaled planning, including Pre-Planning/Preparation and Program Increment Planning Events
- Represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and Agile Release Train Syncs
- Collaborate with Product Owners, development, and test team members to prioritize and define stories using JIRA
- Coordinate work between US-based onshore and India-based offshore teams
- Integrate with project, technology, and business partners to manage projects and gather status updates
- Influence and negotiate with partners to obtain agreement
- Ensure the definition of done is understood and followed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of Scrum Master experience
- Knowledge of other consumer banking applications and/or payment fundamentals
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Agile SDLC processes and deliverables
- Ability to lead discussions and learning sessions with 30+ attendees
- Willingness to facilitate learning and empower team members to teach others
- Strong experience developing and delivering Agile education sessions
- Ability to coach the team
- Experience educating all levels of management within the Agile framework
- Strong feature and story backlog prioritization and refinement
- Strong release planning and Program Increment planning experience
- Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Process-oriented and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deliverable dates
- Ability to foster collaboration and solve problems
- Self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Understanding of roles and responsibilities of teams participating in the lifecycle
- Ability to identify risks and dependencies and quantify business/technology impact
- Ability to provide input for financial planning and understand variances
- Experience with change management coordinator responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with Jira
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Exposure to core banking and payments strongly desired
