About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead employees through onboarding, upskilling, and core programs
  • Develop Academy participants' proficiency and build skills through various learning modalities
  • Demonstrate the bank's client-centric strategy to drive appropriate behaviors
  • Partner with leadership to drive employee development
  • Manage Academy activities at various levels
  • Lead Business Banking Academy programs virtually and in classroom settings for new-to-role and upskilling participants
  • Deliver assessments, manage practice pods, call calibration sessions, practice sessions, and simulator workshops
  • Identify behavior and proficiency gaps, develop action plans, and coach participants toward successful training completion and milestones
  • Manage program outreach, coordination, logistics, communications, calendar planning, escalations, and technology access
  • Partner with Academy content design teammates to provide feedback on content, curriculum, and programs
  • Enforce internal and regulatory policies, procedures, and processes throughout New to Role programs
  • Oversee post-program completion checkpoints to assess understanding and accelerate proficiency or reduce learning curves
  • Facilitate Line of Business leadership routines and initiatives and provide development and program updates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Recent/Previous Business Banking or Academy experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Credit and treasury understanding
  • Proven ability to coach, manage, and develop by driving proficiency and performance in a customer centric environment
  • Proven ability to diagnose root cause/skill gaps and develop and execute effective performance action plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including dialogue, influence without direct authority, relationship building, and commitment to excellence
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Active listening skills, including ability to influence virtually
  • Demonstrated problem solving, strong follow-up skills, and ability to escalate and gain resolution
  • Proficiency in risk identification and mitigation and communicating and reinforcing enterprise risk culture
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize
  • Proficiency in computer skills and professional programs, such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks without help of an administrative assistant
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
