About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define functional and technical architectural solutions for core customer/account reference data applications
Define architectural vision, target operating environments, client resiliency approaches, and non-functional requirements
Create solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions across business, operations, and technology
Prioritize functional and non-functional requirements into a technology backlog
Create architecture roadmaps across Business, Application, Data, and Technology domains
Clarify architecture and assist with system design and resolution of architectural impediments
Lead complex architecture designs, solution discussions, proof of concepts, and practical experiments
Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices
Help select technology stacks and preferred technology products
Perform design and code reviews covering security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability
Communicate complex technology solutions to technical, managerial, executive, business, and vendor audiences
Drive architecture strategy aligned with industry advancements and emerging technologies
Develop business cases for management
Produce detailed technical designs and specifications
Collaborate with internal and external technical resources on implementation, customization, and integration strategies
Collaborate with development teams on technical specifications for development and systems integration
Provide best practices and third-party solution alternatives
Participate in proofs of concept for emerging technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of relevant experience as a hands-on Solution & Systems Architect
Deep expertise in API-led architecture, microservices, event-driven architectures, and service integration patterns
Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, web services, asynchronous messaging, and integration solutions using JSON, XML, Kafka, JMS, or equivalent platforms
Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, domain-driven design (DDD), enterprise integration patterns, and application architecture best practices
Experience with Java development frameworks and tools, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA/Hibernate, Maven/Gradle, and related ecosystems
Strong experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed applications using Java/J2EE and modern enterprise architecture patterns
Experience architecting and deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud-native deployment models
Experience implementing DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and release automation using GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, or equivalent platforms
Knowledge of application resiliency, high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and observability practices
Experience designing secure solutions using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, mTLS, API security, and enterprise security standards
Familiarity with real-time data processing, master data management, customer data platforms, event streaming, and data integration platforms
Strong understanding of performance engineering, scalability, capacity planning, and operational excellence
Experience working within agile product delivery models across architecture, engineering, product, and operations teams
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
