About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define architectural vision and solution designs supporting strategic business outcomes
- Define target operating environments, client resiliency approaches, and non-functional requirements
- Lead functional and technical architecture for core customer/account reference data applications in the Consumer Data Platform technology architecture group
- Create solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions across business, operations, and technology
- Prioritize functional and non-functional requirements into technology backlogs
- Contribute to architecture roadmaps across Business, Application, Data, and Technology domains
- Clarify architecture and assist with system design and resolution of architectural impediments
- Facilitate solution discussions and lead designs for complex, flexible, modular, and adaptable architectures
- Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices
- Help select technology stacks and preferred technology products
- Perform design and code reviews for security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability
- Communicate complex technology solutions to technical, managerial, executive, and vendor audiences
- Develop business cases and detailed technical designs
- Collaborate with internal and external technical resources on implementation, customization, and integration strategies
- Produce technical specifications for development and systems integration
- Provide best practices and third-party solution alternatives
- Participate in proofs of concept for emerging technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of relevant experience as a hands-on Solution & Systems Architect
- Deep expertise in API-led architecture, microservices, event-driven architectures, and service integration patterns
- Hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs, web services, asynchronous messaging, and integration solutions using JSON, XML, Kafka, JMS, or equivalent platforms
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, domain-driven design, enterprise integration patterns, and application architecture best practices
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA/Hibernate, Maven/Gradle, and related ecosystems
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed applications using Java/J2EE and modern enterprise architecture patterns
- Experience architecting and deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud-native deployment models
- Experience implementing DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and release automation using GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, or equivalent platforms
- Knowledge of resiliency, high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing
- Experience designing secure solutions using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, mTLS, API security, and enterprise security standards
- Familiarity with real-time data processing, master data management, customer data platforms, event streaming, and data integration platforms
- Understanding of performance engineering, scalability, capacity planning, and operational excellence
- Experience working within agile product delivery models and collaborating across architecture, engineering, product, and operations teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Desired: experience with customer data management, customer 360 platforms, identity resolution, customer mastering, consent management, and data governance
- Desired: understanding of enterprise data domains, data lineage, metadata management, privacy regulations, and data quality frameworks
- Desired: experience supporting digital, analytics, personalization, and AI/ML use cases through customer data platforms
