About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define architectural vision and solutions supporting strategic business outcomes
Define the target operating environment and design for client resiliency
Assist with solution design and define non-functional requirements
Work with stakeholders and service providers aligned to strategic objectives
Evaluate the impact of strategic design decisions and contribute to the architecture roadmap
Create solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions across business, operations, and technology
Prioritize functional and non-functional requirements into a technology backlog
Create architecture roadmaps across Business, Application, Data, and Technology domains
Clarify architecture and assist with system design and resolution of architectural impediments
Facilitate solution discussions and lead complex architecture designs, experiments, and proofs of concept
Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices
Help select technology stacks and preferred technology products
Perform design and code reviews covering security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability
Create and maintain target application architecture, blueprints, and strategic roadmaps
Map horizontal components for reuse throughout GOTSSCDP
Analyze new technologies and determine their fit for the bank
Work on multiple projects using waterfall and agile methodologies
May manage associates and perform managerial responsibilities including coaching, risk management, budgeting, talent development, and delegation

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience developing technology solutions, including 5+ years in Architecture
Academic education in Technology/Engineering disciplines, or equivalent experience
Proficient in defining solutions for large-scale, complex business problems with high resiliency, scalability, performance, and concurrency requirements
Proficient in researching and understanding new technology solutions and presenting comparisons, pros/cons, and target use cases
Adept at IT operations, Agile Methodology, Software Development Lifecycle, and Systems Architectures
Proficient in collaborating with business and technical resources to develop solutions meeting business requirements
Proficient in leading discussions in a matrix environment
Proficient in representing architecture in enterprise architecture forums
Proficient in written and verbal communication and influencing decisions across LOB and technology
Background in public cloud design and implementation (AWS/Azure)
Experience with Terraform
Experience with AI concepts including agentic, deterministic, and model-based learning
Hands-on prototyping based on AI-assisted agents (CoPilot, Claude, Opus)
Background in Global Operations, Shared Services, Data, Analytics, or Solution Architecture domains
Experience with regulatory, risk, and compliance-driven initiatives
Familiarity with JIRA
Software design and development experience in modern programming languages
