About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform complex analysis and modeling to minimize fraud loss exposure and negative customer-experience impacts
  • Analyze financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to improve risk, profitability, forecasting, and operational performance
  • Use Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and relational databases to support strategies and ensure goals are met
  • Evaluate data for potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies
  • Propose policy and procedural changes within segmentation structures
  • Recommend data-driven actions to support business outcomes and informed decisions
  • Lead production of product-performance reports and updates for senior management
  • Develop complex program models to extract data and acquire statistical and financial data from multiple databases
  • Support biometrics capability enhancements and strategy design
  • Build and develop logic for fraud strategies
  • Lead project scope, fraud requirements, testing, and strategy development
  • Participate in rollout of machine-learning technology
  • Communicate with multiple levels of management using discretion and independent judgment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of analytical experience (Payment background preferred)
  • Proficient in SAS or SQL and Excel
  • Strong quantitative, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with executive-level personnel across the business
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team
  • Innovative mindset and ability to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and improve existing processes for optimization and meet deadlines
  • 3+ years of fraud experience (desired)
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, operations research, finance, or business (desired)
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills using data and metrics to identify root causes (desired)
  • Basic understanding of 1st and 3rd party fraud, including claims-to-charge-off timing and chargeback recovery rights (desired)
  • Availability for 1st shift in the United States of America
  • 40 hours per week
