About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist trust officers with all phases of trust relationship servicing and administration
  • Interact with Merrill Advisors, client teams, clients, and clients’ outside advisors
  • Coordinate internal delivery of trust services through Fiduciary Solutions and/or Trust Operations groups
  • Prepare meeting materials and update family trees
  • Research client and Advisor inquiries and support timely responses
  • Facilitate tax reporting by researching cost basis, obtaining outstanding tax documents, and furnishing tax documents to clients and tax preparers
  • Monitor cash balances, remediate overdrafts, and address excess cash holdings
  • Review prior-day activity reports
  • Raise cash
  • Review and update Investment Policy Statements
  • Prepare Discretionary Action Forms and review supporting documentation
  • Update account coding following changed circumstances or periodic account reviews
  • Prepare fee acknowledgements
  • Manage Deceased Client Notification process and action items
  • Maintain accounts, including interested-party records
  • Conduct Know Your Client refreshes
  • Monitor RMD status for IRAs and private foundations
  • Support ad-hoc administrative and strategic projects
  • Prepare reports and conduct research
  • Adhere to Private Bank and Enterprise risk framework and regulatory and legal requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a client-facing or financial services operations role
  • Trust support experience strongly preferred
