Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and deliver complex software requirements to accomplish business goals
Code solutions and perform unit testing against acceptance and compliance requirements
Design and develop client requirements using multiple architectural components
Perform continuous integration and continuous development activities
Contribute to story refinement, requirements definition, estimation, and delivery lifecycle planning
Contribute to integration, regression, and performance test suites; analyze reports and triage issues
Perform spikes and proofs of concept to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers
Collaborate with architects, developers, data analysts, and data modelers to review designs and align roadmaps
Analyze large amounts of data to identify patterns, trends, and business insights
Serve as a seasoned technical resource and lead a small team
Monitor application health, triage incidents, lead root-cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes
Provide technical direction, work breakdown, and delivery oversight
Validate API contracts, data accuracy, and search/index behavior across services
Maintain logging, metrics, dashboards, and alerts; conduct post-incident reviews and reliability improvements
Build a cloud-native, microservices-based payment observability platform with modern web experiences, event-driven processing, search, analytics, and operational intelligence

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 2+ years of experience in a combination of full-stack enterprise application architecture, software development, and infrastructure
Strong hands-on experience building modern web applications using Angular and/or ReactJS
Extensive experience developing Java-based enterprise applications using Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
Strong experience with Oracle databases, advanced SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning
Experience with NoSQL technologies including MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and document-oriented application design
Ability to work closely with Solutions Architects to design componentized solutions aligned with an API-based integration strategy
Ability to develop, review and comment on written technical documentation
Understanding and usage of DevOps processes for build and deployment
Strong knowledge of Bitbucket, Ansible Tower, Jenkins and GitHub (Atlasian Suite/Horizon)
2+ years of experience working in Agile teams (preferably Scaled Agile)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
Desired: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
Desired: Deep understanding of microservices architecture, API-first design, service orchestration, and distributed systems
Desired: Experience in logging, Redis caching, transaction management, multi-threading/concurrency, performance tuning, and application monitoring
Desired: 2+ years of relevant work experience
