About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and deliver complex software requirements supporting business goals
- Develop, test and maintain software meeting functional, non-functional and compliance requirements
- Design, build and maintain high-priority, highly available applications supporting Corporate Treasury and CIO business goals
- Partner with stakeholders, teammates and Global Markets technology management throughout the software delivery lifecycle
- Code solutions and unit test against acceptance and compliance criteria
- Design and modify architecture components, application interfaces and solution enablers
- Mentor software engineers and coach the team on CI/CD practices and tool-stack automation
- Refine stories, define requirements and estimate delivery work
- Perform spikes and proofs of concept to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automate manual release activities
- Design, develop and maintain integration, regression and performance test suites
- Build end-to-end Quant applications using Python, Java and modern front-end technologies
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services and external-system integrations
- Develop responsive, dynamic UI components using frameworks such as Angular
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience as a Python developer
- 5+ years of experience working with Trading, Risk and P&L applications
- 5+ years of Capital Market products
- Strong experience in full-stack development with Java, Spring, Angular, NodeJS, Oracle and SQL
- Working experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven and Ansible
- Experience with application architecture including containers, microservices, cloud and secure coding principles
- Experience with Tomcat/Apache application servers
- Agile development experience, including refining Jira issues with acceptance criteria and maintaining code versioning releases
- Skilled in unit testing or test-driven development, JUnit and Karma-Jasmine
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience interacting with business product owners and end users to define software requirements and triage issues
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Quartz experience desired
- Capital Markets product knowledge, including fixed income and derivatives, desired
- Data analytics or modelling desired
- Financial services industry knowledge/experience in Capital Markets, Hedging and Cash Management desired
- Risk Management desired
