About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform moderately complex transaction and fulfillment processing, including movement of assets into and out of accounts
  • Reconcile, settle, and support trades and transfers
  • Provide operations support and quality service to internal business partners and external clients
  • Maintain knowledge of account opening policies, procedures, and general bank programs
  • Manage end-to-end client onboarding and asset transfer processes, including systems, documentation, follow-up, and follow-through
  • Create executive-level transition tracking progress for onsite projects
  • Facilitate client meetings with Financial Advisors and Client Associates regarding onboarding and asset transfer questions
  • Coordinate training for new and internal Merrill Client Associates taking over transitions
  • Assist branch personnel with account transfers, Broker Dealer Changes on 529 plans, life insurance policies, and LMA processing
  • Track and inspect onboarding documents to ensure consistent and compliant execution under FINRA 2273, Regulation BI, and CRS
  • Respond to moderately complex client inquiries through multiple channels
  • Analyze and resolve moderately complex transactions requiring escalations and exceptions
  • Identify operational risks and process improvement opportunities
  • Travel to Merrill Branch offices up to 90% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an investment operations role or equivalent
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Financial Services Industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and OneNote
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Ability to manage confidential matters and sensitive information responsibly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results under aggressive deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to influence with impact across the organization
  • Knowledge of operational excellence and enterprise policies and procedures
  • Highly organized, meticulous, and self-motivated
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex problems
  • Ability to lead and motivate teammates on transitions and highly observed projects
  • Up to 90% travel to Merrill Branch offices
  • Flexibility to work varying hours/days when necessary
  • Undergraduate degree preferred or industry work experience equivalents
