About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze and resolve moderately complex transactions requiring escalations and exceptions
  • Review requests, confirm supporting information, and resolve open commitments
  • Perform moderately complex transaction processing and reconciliation with medium to large monetary impact
  • Confirm account information and activity according to established guidelines and procedures
  • Respond to client inquiries through numerous channels
  • Provide status updates and communicate outstanding requirements to Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Consumer Investments personnel
  • Assess obligations and securities-based lending data
  • Fulfill reporting and escalation activities, including consolidated risk reports
  • Respond to internal partner inquiries via email
  • Understand end-to-end process flows, controls, risks, and upstream/downstream impacts
  • Identify risk and opportunities for process improvements
  • Support high-volume periods and oversee complex cases
  • Assist in training less experienced team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Familiarity with financial processes across ML sales support screens
  • Understanding of the Securities Industry and applicable internal and external rules and regulations, including Regulation T, New York Stock Exchange, Firm policies and procedures, and margin and option rules and regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a challenging environment
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
