About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with moderate to complex tasks related to the credit process
- Monitor financial reporting and support risk activities
- Coordinate and resolve client onboarding issues as the first point of engagement for client teams
- Support systematic execution of the credit process with managers, specified teams, and operations
- Monitor financial package collection, maturities, annual reviews, financial analysis summaries, past-due payments, and failed covenants
- Assist with complex client needs, including ordering payoff letters
- Clear collateral exceptions to reduce legally binding exposure
- Coordinate accurate and timely deals by engaging outside counsel, completing pre-close checklists, and connecting with fulfillment to book facilities
- Support Credit Officers in managing portfolios, including reviewing global credit facilities
- Create and process credit approval documents for new, renewed, and amended loan, trading, and GTS facilities
- Review credit approval documents for compliance with bank policies and procedures
- Identify and resolve facility data discrepancies
- Respond to and investigate inquiries from Credit Officers and business partners
- Monitor and resolve facility document exceptions
- Create, maintain, and monitor credit and financial events and manage exceptions
- Maintain accurate document records
- Help simplify and improve processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of experience in Commercial and Wholesale credit lending and portfolio management support
- Knowledge of credit guidelines and lending procedures
- Experience with underwriting systems
- Credit documentation verification skills
- Knowledge of commercial lending and commercial products
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Institutional banking experience and knowledge of lending products is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and responsibilities
- Ability to learn processes, systems, and products quickly
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, and manage competing priorities
- Ability to escalate when needed
- Ability to independently analyze complex issues and execute practical solutions
- Ability to share information and ideas and identify best practices
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team with reliability, flexibility, and professional communication
