About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and deliver category strategies across substantial spend portfolios
- Lead complex tenders, negotiations, supplier selection and contract outcomes
- Analyse spend, demand, supplier economics and cost drivers to identify value opportunities
- Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders and strategic suppliers
- Deliver sustainable cost reductions, cost avoidance and commercial risk improvements
- Help shape the growing Strategic Sourcing function, including its tools, governance and ways of working
- Work directly with operational and corporate leaders across Centennial’s underground mining operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong category management, strategic sourcing, commercial or value-delivery experience
- A track record managing complex, high-value sourcing initiatives from strategy through to implementation
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, infrastructure, construction, industrial services or mining equipment
- Strong commercial acumen
- Strong negotiation capability
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- Ability to balance value outcomes with safety, operational, technical and supply-risk requirements
- Practical, accountable mindset
- Willingness to challenge constructively
