About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel activities during shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ensure quality and continuity of patient care
- Use the nursing process for patient assessment, care planning, and care interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians on patient-care planning and implementation
- Perform additional duties within the scope of the role
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Nursing required; BSN degree preferred
- Active RN licensure required
- BLS required
- Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending upon area assigned
- Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns
- Ability to sit for 20% and be mobile for 80% of the workday
- Ability to perform occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to frequently reach, use hands, and perform repetitive actions
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds
- Clear speech and hearing sensitivity for phone or in-person conversations
- Continuous close- and distant-range visual acuity
- Ability to work with computers
- Ability to work around infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, radiation, and occasional electrical-shock risk
