About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate documentation using coding and clinical expertise to ensure coding specificity and accuracy
- Provide guidance and education to coders, providers, medical assistants, practice managers and ancillary staff
- Educate staff on clinical documentation best practices and correct coding
- Work remotely and travel within areas served by BHMG
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School/GED
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Professional (CCP), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P) or equivalent certification from AAPC, AHIMA or other acceptable professional organization
- 2 years in an education position preferred
- Clinical experience a plus
- Residency in KY or IN
- Ability to work remotely and travel within areas served by BHMG
- Self-motivated, flexible, confident presenter
