About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct patient care and clinical support within an outpatient clinic
  • Obtain vital signs and reconcile medications
  • Collect patient history

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant training program OR at least one year of direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting
  • Experience obtaining vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinic procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and administering injections or vaccines
  • Must successfully complete a clinical competency assessment and MA orientation upon hire
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
  • Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or AAMP, OR active LPN or RN licensure in the state of practice
