Patient Care Technician, Float

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Examine and treat patients under the direct supervision of the physician or advanced practice clinician.
- Check in patients.
- Obtain vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry, and temperature.
- Perform medication reconciliation and collect patient medical history information.
- Expedite patient flow and room patients.
- Stock the clinic with supplies.
- Navigate the EPIC electronic health record system.
- Perform other non-clinical duties as needed.
- Communicate respectfully and uphold Baptist’s mission and core values that drive service excellence.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information.
- Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate, within 90 days of hire.
- Upon hire these disciplines will be required to attend orientation| externship and additional training as needed.
- PCT, SRNA, Nursing Assistant, CNA, NCT, Nursing Care Tech.
