About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and coordinate education, promotion, and business development for Cardiology services
- Coordinate community activities of providers and team members
- Analyze community outreach, referral patterns, and potential market penetration tactics
- Assist in business development of referral sources and maintain positive customer relationships
- Identify patient barriers and assist with treatment plans to improve outcomes
- Coordinate with discharge educators and social workers to support medication compliance through pharmaceutical assistance programs
- Participate in developing and implementing administrative policies
- Counsel clients individually as scheduled and in emergencies
- Provide team-member training on policies, procedures, and pharmaceutical guidelines
- Represent the agency in community and interagency activities
- Conduct or direct staff development and public relations events
- Analyze barriers to patient care and implement solutions
- Coordinate follow-up treatment and medications for self-pay patients
- Identify therapeutic and affordable medications
- Request insurance prior authorizations and communicate formulary changes
- Log, inventory, monitor, and dispose of pharmaceutical samples according to policy
- Schedule clinical education programs, physician speaking engagements, and community events
- Coordinate American Heart Association events, health fairs, cardiovascular symposiums, Go Red events, and public relations programs
- Write grants for community education outreach
- Participate in growth, outreach, and marketing committees for cardiovascular services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Health Care preferred
- 1 year experience and/or training in a health care setting required
- Knowledge of cardiac medical terminology and medications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of community resources
- Knowledge of the health care market area (Primary Service Area and Secondary Service Area)
