About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of analysts supporting managed care contracting activities
  • Analyze payer performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and revenue improvement areas
  • Conduct market research on payer industry trends and policies
  • Develop and maintain payer dashboards and reports tracking KPIs by payer
  • Provide actionable data-driven insights to senior management
  • Monitor contract compliance and address reimbursement issues such as denials and underpayments
  • Implement processes ensuring adherence to payer contract regulatory requirements
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
  • Maintain departmental operational excellence and quality service delivery
  • Manage team orientation, development, evaluation, recruiting, interviewing, selection, coaching, and education
  • Manage department finances and ensure appropriate use of organizational resources
  • Communicate departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Care Administration, or related field required
  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Care Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5 years of Finance, Managed Care, or Revenue Cycle Analyst experience required
  • 1 year of leadership experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to use critical thinking, plan strategically, deliver tactically, and drive organizational transformation
  • Strong intuition and ability to analyze data deeply using tools such as Power BI and Optum Payment Integrity Compliance
  • Broad analytics, data management, and data science skills, including predictive and prescriptive modeling
  • Familiarity with value-based payment models
