About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the full lifecycle of IT and business assets from procurement and deployment through maintenance, refresh, recovery, and retirement
- Maintain accurate asset inventories and records throughout each lifecycle stage
- Conduct physical audits and reconciliations across departments and locations
- Track equipment, investigate inventory discrepancies, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Analyze asset utilization, inventory levels, lifecycle trends, replacement needs, and reporting to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with Information Technology, Finance, Procurement, vendors, and operational leaders on purchasing, forecasting, budgeting, technology refresh planning, warranty management, equipment returns, and secure asset disposition
- Provide hands-on support across hospital and clinical locations for deployments, transfers, replacements, and other asset-related needs
- Establish and implement hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance, and retention policies, standards, and procedures
- Investigate hardware and software products and evaluate and recommend products based on user requirements
- Coordinate with procurement to interview, select, and negotiate with hardware and software vendors
- Review licenses and contracts to ensure equipment is covered and properly documented
- Monitor equipment orders and update project documentation
- Request required LSID IDs for equipment configuration
- Assist with printer ticket workflows, IP reservation requests, and documentation updates
- Participate in weekly project team calls as needed
- Identify workflow gaps, develop standardized procedures, improve documentation and reporting, and support enterprise technology initiatives, audits, and large-scale deployments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT asset management, technology operations, inventory management, or a related field
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of IT hardware and business assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, refresh, recovery, and retirement
- Experience maintaining asset inventories, conducting physical audits, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring accurate asset records across multiple locations
- Experience using IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Service Management (ITSM), or enterprise asset tracking systems, such as ServiceNow or similar platforms
- Experience analyzing asset utilization, inventory levels, lifecycle data, and reporting to support forecasting, budgeting, and cost optimization
- Experience collaborating with IT, Finance, Procurement, vendors, and operational stakeholders to coordinate asset management activities and technology initiatives
- Experience supporting enterprise environments with multiple facilities or locations, including on-site asset deployment, inventory management, equipment transfers, and technology refresh initiatives
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Working knowledge and skills to perform defined analytical, scientific, or operational processes
- Full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
