About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in the management and supervision of BHSF Health Information Management department functions, including Use and Disclosure of Health Information, analysis of clinical documentation, record retrieval and document imaging, MPI, and TJC activities
Ensure efficient operation for all Baptist Health facilities
Supervise between 15 and 30 FTEs in a busy, high-volume environment
Focus on quality and productivity to meet Health Information Management performance standards
Serve as the primary source of support for the Health System, including 8 acute care hospitals, over 50 Baptist outpatient centers, and all ambulatory surgical centers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate/Bachelor in Health Information Management
Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administration (RHIA) certificate preferred
At least three years supervisory experience in a large healthcare institution required
Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, problem-solving and personnel management skills
Knowledge of health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology
