About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Transaction Monitoring by investigating and reporting suspicious activity to the NCA when necessary
Review, investigate and report on day-to-day Transaction Monitoring initiatives
Execute monitoring checks on customers, transactions and other activities to identify potential risks and comply with regulatory requirements
Investigate and resolve issues and alerts arising from transaction monitoring tests
Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate Transaction Monitoring processes
Identify process improvement areas and provide recommendations
Develop and implement Transaction Monitoring procedures and controls
Identify industry trends and developments and implement best practices
Participate in projects and initiatives to improve Transaction Monitoring efficiency and effectiveness
Escalate policy and procedure breaches appropriately
Embed new policies and procedures adopted for risk mitigation
Advise and influence decision-making within the area of expertise
Manage risk and strengthen controls
Partner with other functions and business areas
Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function
