About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and improve software using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
Develop and deliver scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions
Provide production support and application management for Synthetics SWAP Trading and related applications
Ensure system availability, stability, and accuracy
Act as the primary escalation point for issues impacting Front Office trading operations
Participate in crisis management
Collaborate with Business, Development, Infrastructure, Operations, and vendors
Support production changes and resolve incidents to minimize business disruption
Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing
Implement secure coding and unit testing practices
Monitor, optimize, and tune application performance
Analyze data and communicate complex information to stakeholders
Identify ways to mitigate risk and strengthen controls

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ample knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems
Experience with SQL Server, including SQL and PL/SQL development and support
Proficiency in Shell/Perl scripting and PowerShell
Working knowledge of Java and middleware technologies
Practical experience with ITRS Geneos, Autosys, PGP Encryption/Decryption, aPaaS, OpenShift, and Kafka
Understanding of trading applications and business processes, preferably within Prime Services
Experience supporting technology solutions in a financial services environment
Ability to read and analyze code
Advanced skills in Unix Shell/Perl scripting, Python, and SQL
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Experience investigating trading and settlement-related queries, including trade processing, pricing, accruals, rates, and costs
Experience monitoring, optimizing, and tuning application performance
Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices
