About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, resilient software applications for customer journey solutions
- Build and operate high-performing production services
- Define software requirements and solution strategies with product managers, designers, and engineers
- Conduct coding, solution design, code reviews, architecture governance, troubleshooting, and technical delivery
- Implement unit testing, end-to-end testing, CI/CD, automation, security controls, and release automation
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Solution Architect, Security, Platform, and QA teams
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, governance, and regulatory requirements
- Guide architectural discussions and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions
- Provide technical leadership across PING ID, Java, JavaScript, APIs, Docker, Google Cloud, and secure code engineering
- Mentor and coach engineers; support recruitment, onboarding, and team growth
- Champion DevSecOps, observability, reliability engineering, and operational excellence
- Promote knowledge sharing through code reviews, technical discussions, pairing sessions, and documentation
- Balance technical excellence with delivery commitments and business outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to design, build, test, and operate production services using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Desire to broaden technology expertise
- Experience designing web solutions for accessibility and responsive requirements
- Experience with Node-based build tooling
- Experience supporting end-to-end testing
- Ability to use AI engineering tools for research, code understanding, prototyping, implementation, and documentation with sound engineering judgment
- Experience building production services, distributed systems, or shared platform capabilities
- Experience with APIs, RESTful services, integration contracts, and data/domain models
- Experience with authentication, authorization, and identity management
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly and collaborate across teams and time zones
- DevOps skills including GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Datadog, containers, and Helm
- Strong understanding of application architecture, dependency management, and maintainable code design
