  • Write scalable Python and SQL code to extract, transform, analyse, and visualise datasets
  • Use Power BI and Tableau to build reports and visualisations
  • Produce data forensics and advanced analytics for Financial Crime Screening initiatives
  • Design, develop, and maintain analytical and machine learning solutions
  • Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with data engineering and technology teams on data acquisition, transformation, and optimisation
  • Support automation, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives aligned with Group strategy
  • Develop understanding of Financial Crime preventative measures, systems, and operational processes
  • Manage relationships with business areas, Senior Leadership, and Compliance
  • Advise on complex issues and support resolution of escalated issues
  • Identify risk mitigations and develop policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Relevant experience in Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Business Intelligence
  • Strong hands-on experience in Python and SQL programming, including data manipulation, data analysis, and solution development
  • Experience building and maintaining analytical models using statistical and machine learning techniques
  • Proficient in Power BI and Tableau for dashboard development, visualisation, and business reporting
  • Strong understanding of data analytics methodologies, exploratory data analysis, and data visualisation best practices
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge or experience within Financial Crime Operations, Screening, Compliance, or Risk Management
  • Working knowledge and understanding of end-to-end payment flows
  • Basic understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL processes, data warehousing, and database server-side technologies
  • Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms and big data technologies would be advantageous
  • Team player with strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner and take ownership
  • Positive attitude to change and desire to solve problems
