About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and develop existing and new products and/or services
- Own related customer and colleague journeys where applicable
- Develop product strategy and drive change through Barclays execution teams
- Make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes
- Develop customer-level strategies and solutions tailored to customer needs
- Advise stakeholders on existing and new products, propositions, and related journeys
- Develop product propositions and/or service strategy, define priorities, and lead execution
- Develop commercial and business models based on financial drivers of the relevant segment, proposition, or journey
- Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance, and risks associated with new product development and launch
- Monitor market trends and analyze feedback through prototypes, user testing, and beta programs
- Manage launch plans and technical deployments, including rollout timelines, marketing, training, and communications
- Monitor adoption, usage, customer satisfaction, complaints, and revenue metrics
- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and support operational effectiveness
- Lead complex cross-functional assignments, guide team members, and collaborate across business areas
- Consult on complex issues and advise People Leaders on escalated issues
- Mitigate risk, develop policies and procedures, and strengthen controls
- Perform complex analysis of internal and external data to solve problems
- Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes
- Strengthen the resilience, reliability, and future-readiness of Barclays’ domestic and international payments ecosystem
- Support propositions that improve operational resilience, end-to-end processes, and risk reduction across critical payment journeys
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience supporting delivery of operational resilience requirements across domestic payments, with exposure to international payment flows
- Experience assessing risks, identifying control gaps, and ensuring uplift across processes
- Experience picking up in-flight deliverables and collaborating with multiple business areas to feed in requirements
- Demonstrated ownership of a problem and clear articulation of added value
- Payments expertise, ideally in product, risk & controls, data, or an associated payments role
- Ability to apply a resiliency lens to processes, propositions, and operational risks
- Skills relevant to risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills
