About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and develop existing and new products and/or services
Own related customer and colleague journeys where applicable
Develop product strategy and drive change through Barclays execution teams
Make key decisions throughout the product lifecycle and own outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank
Develop customer-level strategies and solutions tailored to customer needs
Advise and guide stakeholders across the bank on products, propositions, and customer and colleague journeys
Develop product propositions and service strategies, define priorities, and lead execution
Develop commercial and business models using financial drivers of the relevant P&L
Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance, and risks associated with new products
Monitor market trends and gather feedback through prototypes, user testing, and beta programs
Manage launch plans, technical deployments, rollout timelines, marketing, training, and communications
Monitor adoption, usage, customer satisfaction, complaints, and revenue metrics
Explore emerging technologies, including digital assets and Agentic AI, and identify applications in payments
Conduct market research, analyse opportunities, build propositions, and pitch recommendations to senior stakeholders
Manage stakeholders, gather insights, influence decision-makers, and respond to leadership requests
Shape ideas from inception through execution and create impactful PowerPoint presentations
Collaborate across functions, lead or guide assignments, consult on complex issues, mitigate risk, strengthen controls, and communicate complex information

Requirements

What you’ll need

Considerable stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, gather insights, and influence decision-making across multiple levels of an organisation
Demonstrated commercial acumen, including experience analysing data, identifying market opportunities, and developing robust commercial business cases
Proven ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations through data-driven commercial analysis and strategic thinking
Experience contributing to or leading proposition development, from initial concept through to value proposition creation and business case development
Exposure to product development, including assessing market needs, shaping innovative solutions, and supporting go-to-market strategies
Confident communicator with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Experience working with frontier technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technology trends
Knowledge of the payments industry, with an understanding of market dynamics, challenges, and innovation opportunities
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and executive-level presentations
Ability to assess and translate emerging technology capabilities into practical business and customer solutions
