About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop and improve software providing business, platform and technology capabilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality, scalable, maintainable and performance-optimized software solutions
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing
- Stay informed about technology trends and contribute to technology communities
- Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
- Implement unit testing to ensure code design, readability and reliability
- Advise stakeholders and senior management on functional and cross-functional impacts
- Manage and mitigate risks and strengthen controls
- Create solutions by analyzing complex alternatives and conducting research
- Build and maintain stakeholder partnerships
- Guide technical direction and coach less experienced specialists as an individual contributor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience configuring, using or maintaining Kubernetes (Openshift or EKS or AKS)
- Experience developing and coding software using Python or Golang
- Experience with Docker, Containers and Cloud-Native utilities and software
- Experience writing Ansible Playbooks or Chef Cookbooks
- Foundational understanding of cloud technologies within AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with complex system integrations, REST APIs, observability, telemetry and microservice-based architectures
- Elastic or other tools hands-on experience preferred
- Experience working in an SRE / DevOps role
- Technical skills relevant to risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology
- Ability to adhere to secure coding practices
- Ability to implement effective unit testing practices
