About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and maintain the resilience strategy and Operational Recovery Planning and Incident Management framework.
- Socialise and implement the resilience strategy and framework across the firm.
- Develop and enhance resilience, crisis, and incident management capabilities.
- Enhance Operational Recovery Planning and Security Incident Management standards and controls.
- Oversee business, technology, and third-party recovery capability improvements.
- Communicate resilience risks and remediation through scorecards and dashboards to the Board, Executive Committees, Control Forums, and business stakeholders.
- Plan and conduct testing, severe-but-plausible scenario exercises, and crisis simulations.
- Ensure services and products are built resiliently through change management processes.
- Monitor resilience, crisis, incident management developments, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats.
- Identify, respond to, and enable resolution of incidents and potential threats.
- Execute incident responses from intelligence, email, phone, and monitoring channels.
- Document and analyse incidents, resolution steps, lessons learned, preventative measures, and process improvements.
- Implement resilience controls and resilience-by-design principles within technology initiatives.
- Partner with change and architecture teams to integrate resilience considerations from the outset.
- Act as a first-line challenge and assurance partner for technology and business stakeholders.
- Assess platform, supplier, and technology changes and provide challenge on resilience risks and controls.
- Advise senior stakeholders, manage risks, strengthen controls, collaborate across work areas, and guide technical direction.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in technology recovery, resilience-by-design, recovery readiness assessments, and resilience testing across critical business services and technology platforms.
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams spanning Technology, Cyber Security, Business Operations, and Third-Party providers.
- Strong knowledge of cyber recovery strategies, incident containment, recovery tooling, disaster recovery practices, and industry-recognised cyber resilience frameworks.
- Understanding of third-party and supplier resilience, including concentration risk, dependency mapping, critical supplier recovery planning, and supply chain resilience management.
- Experience developing resilience reporting, key metrics, dashboards, data analysis, and technology tooling.
- Ability to design, facilitate, test, and enhance response and recovery capabilities, including severe-but-plausible scenario exercises and crisis simulations.
- Knowledge of operational resilience regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated risk oversight, executive-level engagement, stakeholder influence, and assurance capabilities.
- Capability in risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills.
