About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement funding and liquidity strategies within regulatory requirements, risk appetite, and favourable funding costs
- Analyse and quantify regulatory and behavioural liquidity risk impacts of business-unit transactions
- Maintain relationships with key business units and manage liquidity within constraints
- Monitor liquidity metrics and trends and advise on actions to maintain funding and liquidity within tolerance
- Manage intra-group funding arrangements and ensure subsidiaries are adequately funded within balance sheet, large exposure, and capital constraints
- Design and implement stress-testing methodologies for financial shocks, economic downturns, and sector-specific crises
- Analyse stress-testing results and develop mitigation strategies for potential liquidity shortfalls
- Develop tools, models, and data analysis to enhance funding and liquidity management
- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, make recommendations for change, and plan resources, budgets, and policies
- Manage and maintain policies and processes, deliver continuous improvements, and escalate policy or procedure breaches
- Advise functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional impacts
- Manage and mitigate risks in support of control and governance objectives
- Collaborate across business areas and with internal and external stakeholders
- Create solutions through sophisticated analytical thought, research, interpretive thinking, and complex alternative evaluation
- Lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, and coach less experienced specialists where applicable

Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of liquidity regulatory metric calculation methodologies, particularly LCR, NSFR, PRA110, and ALMM, and underlying drivers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong balance sheet and finance skills
- Strong understanding of control and governance frameworks
- Experience driving change initiatives, including working with IT on automation initiatives
- Excellent relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience within a Liquidity Risk Management function preferred
- Experience in data visualisation tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or Hypercube preferred
- Coding experience in SQL, Python, or R preferred
- Working knowledge of data mining and automation tools such as SQL and VBA preferred
- Degree educated with a relevant qualification such as ACA or CFA preferred
- Regulatory and/or consultancy background preferred
