About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build performant APIs, services, and front-end experiences using Python and React/TypeScript
Build and integrate with the marketing technology stack, connecting third-party platforms and internal services
Partner with Marketing to identify automation opportunities
Design and ship AI-powered internal tooling that reduces manual work and accelerates campaigns
Measure tool impact through adoption, efficiency gains, reduced manual effort, and business value
Implement cost tracking, secret and PII hygiene, and human review for AI-generated customer-facing output
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and marketing to move ideas from prototype to production
Propose and implement codebase and architecture improvements
Mentor and support other engineers
Evaluate emerging AI tools and frameworks, recommend solutions, and drive adoption through documentation and reusable patterns
Improve internal ways of working and stakeholder collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be based in Spain
4+ years of experience working with Python in a production environment
4+ years of recent experience working with React
Ideally a 50/50 front-end and back-end split, with openness to a 30/70 split either way
Experience building scalable, high-performing web applications
Production MySQL experience and strong SQL skills
Familiarity with NoSQL datastores
Experience building, maintaining, testing, and documenting APIs for internal and external developers
Strong organisational skills
Ability to achieve goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
Great communication skills
Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor
Genuine interest in marketing and automation problems, with aptitude to learn the domain quickly
Experience with MarTech stacks is desired, including CRM, CDP, email/marketing automation, analytics, or ad platforms
Experience building AI-powered tooling in production is desired
Familiarity with AWS ecosystem is desired
Knowledge of SQS or RabbitMQ, SNS or Kafka is desired
Experience with ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, or similar data stores is desired
Experience with cloud monitoring systems such as Datadog is desired
