About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery
  • Lead the London surveying team, allocating and reviewing workloads and setting priorities and performance expectations
  • Support team wellbeing, engagement, coaching and development
  • Contribute to resource planning, recruitment, business development and cross-disciplinary working
  • Apply project delivery and quality standards consistently
  • Manage projects from inception to completion within programme, budget and quality standards
  • Undertake condition surveys and prepare technical reports on existing building stock
  • Prepare and oversee tender documentation, contractor procurement and contract administration
  • Lead client, contractor and stakeholder meetings and provide project updates
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor health and safety, quality and progress
  • Manage project finances, including fee forecasting and invoicing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying
  • MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation, or strong post-qualification experience in construction consultancy or industry
  • Demonstrable experience leading, mentoring or developing building surveying professionals
  • Ability to plan resources, manage competing priorities and maintain high technical and commercial delivery standards
  • Confidence building client relationships and contributing to the growth of the London team
  • Full clean driving licence with access to own vehicle
  • Subject to a DBS Enhanced check
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, finishing at 4:30pm on Friday
