About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Database Infrastructure Services
  • Analyze and program DBMS systems
  • Use current DBMS technologies and design applications using various database management systems
  • Provide technical expertise and support in the use of DBMS
  • Evaluate and recommend DBMS products for validated user requirements
  • Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications
  • Develop, implement, and maintain database backup and recovery procedures
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and recoverability are built into DBMS applications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least two (2) years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access
  • At least two (2) years of hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems
  • Experience working on various operating systems and with additional programming languages
  • Experience on at least two projects
  • Current DoD 8570/8140-approved IAT Level II certification
  • Current applicable Computing Environment (CE) certification from at least one of: OCA18, DB2, or MS SQL Server
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, adjudicated within the last five (5) years
  • Experience in DBMS system analysis and programming
  • Experience using current DBMS technologies and application design with various database management systems
  • Experience with DBMS internals
  • Ability to provide highly technical DBMS expertise and support
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend DBMS products to support validated user requirements
