About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Defense Logistics Agency Information Operations Enterprise Enclave and Information Operations Secure Enterprise Enclave Engineering Support Services
  • Analyze and develop telecommunications networks supporting voice, data, video, and/or wireless services
  • Develop designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion
  • Analyze problems and the characteristics of information to be transported
  • Define problems and develop system requirements and network specifications
  • Coordinate with information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services
  • Develop alternative solutions and backup plans with functional users
  • Work independently or under general direction on moderately complex requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in network engineering
  • Experience in telecommunications network design and management
  • Ability to work independently or under only general direction on moderately complex requirements
  • Experience analyzing and designing voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, adjudicated within the last five (5) years
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and telephones
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, video conference, and email
  • Ability to occasionally move about the office and lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work the assigned schedule with regular and reliable attendance
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required
