About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in field observation of transportation, water, and wastewater projects
  • Work directly with firm clients
  • Support roadway reconstructions, structural improvements, water and stormwater infrastructure construction, and sanitary sewer projects
  • Assist with construction oversight
  • Perform quantity computation, construction layout, survey, and construction inspection
  • Conduct field work, studies, and design of water and wastewater system rehabilitation
  • Assist engineers with evaluation, study, and design of transportation, storm sewer, potable water, sanitary sewer, and treatment plant improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in construction engineering
  • Available to start May 2027
  • Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills
  • Desire and ability to work outdoors 40+ hours per week
  • Able to identify and solve problems promptly
