About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in field observation of transportation, water, and wastewater projects
- Work directly with firm clients
- Support roadway reconstructions and structural improvements, including bridges and sea walls
- Support water and stormwater infrastructure construction
- Support sanitary sewer projects
- Participate in oversight of construction
- Perform construction services involving quantity computation, construction layout, survey, and construction inspection
- Conduct field work, studies, and design support for water and wastewater system rehabilitation
- Assist engineers with evaluation, study, and design of transportation, storm sewer, potable water, sanitary sewer, and treatment plant improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in construction engineering
- Available to start May 2027
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area
- Own transportation
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills
- Desire and ability to work outdoors 40+ hours per week
- Able to identify and solve problems promptly
