About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in field observation of transportation, water, and wastewater projects
Work directly with firm clients
Support roadway reconstructions, structural improvements including bridges and walls, water and stormwater infrastructure construction, and sanitary sewer projects
Oversee construction activities
Perform quantity computation, construction layout, survey, and construction inspection
Conduct field work, studies, and design of water and wastewater system rehabilitation
Assist engineers with evaluation, study, and design of transportation, storm sewer, potable water, sanitary sewer, and treatment plant improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in construction engineering
Available to start May 2027
Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation)
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills
Desire and ability to work outdoors 40+ hours per week
Able to identify and solve problems promptly
