About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Project Manager(s) with engineering design support for water, wastewater, and municipal projects
- Assist with construction plans and specifications
- Perform design calculations and conduct research
- Draft engineering reports, feasibility studies, and bond applications
- Develop quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Evaluate municipal infrastructure systems
- Support permitting processes and regulatory compliance
- Review contractor submittals and provide technical support during construction
- Conduct field investigations to verify site conditions and collect data
- Attend on-site meetings with field project representatives and contractors
- Complete independent tasks and collaborate as part of a project team
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
- Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam in the state of Texas or be capable of passing or transferring the exam within the first six months of employment
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman’s service area
- Own transportation
- Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills
