About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and design water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure projects
- Develop business and serve clients
- Prepare and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Make independent decisions and take responsibility for project engineering solutions
- Communicate and coordinate with peers and management
- Lead single- and multi-disciplined projects
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project team members
- Design and ensure technical aspects meet company quality objectives and local and state criteria
- Prepare or oversee permit applications and coordinate agency review responses
- Secure final regulatory approvals
- Manage construction administration, including bid packages, contract awards, RFIs, pay applications, change orders, project meetings, and site observations
- Represent the company in client and agency meetings
- Assist Marketing with proposals, project plans, staffing, fee development, and risk assessment
- Monitor client satisfaction, schedules, budgets, billings, and QA/QC
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or ability to acquire registration through reciprocity
- 5+ years of experience related to water and/or wastewater facility and infrastructure design
- Operational knowledge of Texas and Austin area government agencies preferred
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
