About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and design water and wastewater facility and infrastructure projects
  • Develop business through management of existing clients
  • Prepare and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules for economical, timely project delivery
  • Ensure project designs, specifications, and reports meet company quality objectives and local, state, and federal criteria
  • Make independent decisions and take responsibility for project engineering solutions
  • Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management
  • Lead single- and multi-disciplined projects
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor project team members
  • Prepare and review water and wastewater treatment plant designs
  • Prepare and review water and wastewater collection infrastructure designs
  • Represent the company in client and agency meetings to resolve questions and plan and coordinate work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An ABET accredited B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or applicable alternate engineering degree
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or can acquire registration through reciprocity
  • 6+ years of experience related to water or wastewater plant and infrastructure design
  • Operational knowledge of TCEQ, City of Houston, Harris County, and Montgomery County regulations
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned office service areas with own transportation
