About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own full bookkeeping responsibilities using Xero
- Process and file purchase invoices, ensure accurate and on-time payments, and maintain organised digital records
- Oversee and manage sales and transactional accounting
- Reconcile balance sheet control accounts regularly
- Administer Pleo, the company expense management system
- Prepare monthly management accounts for CFO review and sign-off
- Manage monthly payroll administration in Xero and company pensions
- Handle quarterly VAT reporting and timely HMRC filing
- Manage production accounting for video courses
- Produce monthly Cost Reports for each individual lesson/course
- Generate internal and external cash flow and cost reports
- Update cash flows and budget forecasts
- Support tracking, calculation, and reporting of artist royalties
- Assist the CFO with ad-hoc project work and financial analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fully qualified accountant (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong working experience in bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll and financial reporting
- Highly proficient in Xero
- Experience with Pleo (or similar expense systems) and payroll processing is highly desirable
- Previous experience in production accounting, media, or managing artist royalties is a strong bonus
- Meticulous organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and ensure absolute accuracy in financial reporting
- Comfortable working in an agile, remote-first start-up environment where processes are actively being built and refined
