About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of clients across various industries
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and reporting deliverables
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing
- Complete HST, payroll, and other regulatory filings
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and working capital planning
- Track financial metrics and KPIs and prepare executive summaries, dashboards, and variance reports
- Support financial reporting for public companies and complex private enterprises
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for multi-entity organizations
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidation processes
- Support external audits and collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and stakeholders
- Maintain audit readiness through documentation, governance, and internal controls
- Identify and implement process improvements and drive finance automation initiatives
- Participate in ERP implementations, system integrations, data migrations, and finance transformation projects
- Leverage cloud-based accounting, reporting, and business intelligence tools
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members
- Manage multiple client engagements and ensure high-quality service delivery
- Build client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- CPA designation completed or in progress
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within public accounting, outsourced accounting, or client service environments
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
- Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements and intercompany reconciliations
- Working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and client service
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and deadlines
