About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze financial data, accounting records, and financial models
- Assess business plans, forecasts, and financial positions of distressed companies
- Prepare financial projection models, including 13-week cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses
- Support turnaround and restructuring strategies, including liquidity management, operational stabilization, and recovery planning
- Support formal restructuring mandates including Receiverships, Proposals, and Bankruptcies
- Prepare formal reports for stakeholders, creditors, and Courts
- Work with management teams, lenders, creditors, legal counsel, and other professional advisors
- Own key workstreams and deliverables while managing multiple engagements and timelines
- Manage sales processes for distressed assets and businesses
- Participate in practice development and business networking initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–3 years of experience in a professional accounting services firm
- Audit experience is an asset
- CPA designation obtained or in progress
- Experience in corporate restructuring, insolvency, or turnaround is an asset but not required
- Interest in pursuing the CIRP designation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours
- Ability to travel to client locations as needed
