About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop and deploy Generative AI solutions end to end, from user interface through APIs and data to deployment
  • Translate Generative AI use cases into architectural and technical requirements
  • Integrate LLMs into real applications, including chat experiences, knowledge retrieval and business-system integrations
  • Write maintainable, tested code and participate in code reviews
  • Support junior colleagues in the technical implementation of use cases
  • Help develop BearingPoint's Generative AI service portfolio
  • Work in cross-functional, agile teams with developers, product owners and stakeholders
  • Build BeMind, BearingPoint's enterprise AI platform, and Generative AI solutions for clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Around 3+ years of professional software development experience covering both frontend and backend
  • Strong experience with a modern frontend framework; React / Next.js ideal, with Vue, Angular or Svelte also welcome
  • Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills, or another typed language plus willingness to work mainly in TypeScript
  • Experience building and integrating APIs and third-party services on a backend stack such as Node.js, Python, .NET, Java or Go
  • Solid relational database skills, including data modelling, SQL and optimisation
  • Practical experience with Git, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in agile teams using Scrum / Kanban
  • Good English communication
  • First experience with LLMs or Generative AI, such as OpenAI / Azure OpenAI APIs, prompt design or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), is nice to have
  • NestJS, Supabase or GraphQL is nice to have
  • Docker and Docker Compose is nice to have
  • GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps is nice to have
  • Cloud basics on Azure, AWS or GCP is nice to have
  • Microservices or event-driven systems experience is nice to have
