About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape collaboration between management, HR, and employee representatives in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands
- Build trusting relationships with works councils, employee representatives, and relevant stakeholders
- Lead negotiations on works agreements, company-wide works agreements, and consultation procedures
- Manage the successful implementation of agreements
- Advise management, HR, and leaders on co-determination and collective labour law
- Support the implementation and further development of works agreements
- Provide labour-relations guidance on digitalisation and IT implementation projects
- Support the conclusion of corresponding works agreements
- Lead cross-functional projects
- Develop practical solutions to complex issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in law or business administration, ideally with a focus on employment law
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in labour relations, employee relations, or collective labour law
- Experience in a professional services or consulting environment is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of the German Works Constitution Act
- Several years of experience working with works councils and employee representatives
- Experience with works councils in Austria is preferred
- Experience conducting negotiations at national level
- Strong negotiation skills, diplomatic tact, and a confident demeanour
- Structured and solution-oriented approach to work
- Confident communication skills in German and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands
