About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the growth of Beca’s Defence assurance and asset management service across Australia
Develop and implement a national Defence estate assurance and asset management strategy
Lead client strategies and account plans
Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and key partners
Identify opportunities early and lead high-quality bids and pursuits
Strengthen market presence through thought leadership, industry events and strategic partnerships
Partner with project leaders to manage performance, risk and value
Manage pipeline health, forecasts, pricing, contracts and governance
Work with team leaders to develop a high-performing client team
Champion safety, quality, sustainability and positive social outcomes
Represent Beca at industry forums and monitor market, regulatory and technology trends
Report to the Manager, Project, Program and Asset Services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior-level experience in the Defence estate assurance / asset management sector
Proven track record of turning opportunities into outcomes by shaping and winning work
Established defence consultant and entrepreneurial leader
Strong commercial acumen
Confidence navigating panels, complex frameworks, alliances, and long-term programmes
In-depth technical understanding of assurance and asset management across Government, Defence, Industrial and Utilities markets
Ability to foster, maintain and build client relationships and client engagement
Deep understanding of the market
Success building relationships and turning opportunities into outcomes
Must hold, or possess the ability to obtain, a current Australian Government Security Clearance at Baseline level or higher; obtaining it requires Australian citizenship
Appropriate tertiary qualifications aligned to asset management or related disciplines
