About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and manage the product vision, objectives, and roadmap for an assigned product
  • Lead product discovery activities, including member research, journey analysis, opportunity assessment, experimentation, and validation
  • Monitor industry best practices, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape
  • Lead product development and innovation from ideation through testing, business case development, launch, and in-market performance
  • Refine product goals using analytics, user feedback, and market trends
  • Manage product transitions and retirements
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog
  • Translate product strategy into actionable epics and features
  • Support pricing recommendations, business cases, go-to-market planning, and financial assessments
  • Define, monitor, and report on product OKRs, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Analyze product performance and derive insights for development, prioritization, and optimization
  • Partner with Business Analysts, Design, and Technology teams on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, release planning, and retrospectives
  • Make prioritization decisions and trade-offs based on outcomes, member value, risk, effort, and strategic objectives
  • Ensure delivery teams understand business outcomes and success measures
  • Collaborate with Design and Technology peers to balance desirability, feasibility, and viability
  • Define customer journeys and exceptional user experiences
  • Align digital experiences with broader omnichannel strategies
  • Communicate product vision, priorities, roadmap decisions, and business rationale to stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Act as product lead and subject matter expert for assigned products
  • Lead product initiatives and contribute to cross-functional portfolio initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or related area is considered an asset
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, business innovation, digital product delivery, or related disciplines
  • Experience leading product discovery and roadmap development
  • Experience managing product backlogs, epics, features, and prioritization within agile delivery environments
  • Experience working closely with Business Analysts, Design, and Technology teams
  • Strong understanding of product analytics, experimentation, and outcome-based product management
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, member segmentation, digital and physical channels, and non-traditional competition
  • Experience driving a focused product vision and owning the narrative with leadership, customers, and partners
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI design best practices
  • High analytical acumen and solid business sense for ROI-based prioritization
  • Understanding of agile or similar methodology
  • Strong understanding of digital concepts
  • Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate
